• A grateful, thankful heart

I sense the Lord wants me to write on the importance of a grateful, thankful heart. There is something incredibly powerful about pondering upon what we have rather than what we have not. What is our focus on today? How do we see OUR cup? Do we see it as ‘half full’ or ‘half empty’? What we behold is what we will become.

Sometimes amidst the challenges of everyday life, it might seem difficult to tap into that grateful attitude, but friend, I GUARANTEE that if you will do it by AN ACTIVE CHOICE OF YOUR WILL, He, (GOD HIMSELF) will meet you in the midst of the circumstances bringing deep peace and a strong sense that you are not alone.  The Bible, (God’s handbook for life), speaks of giving A SACRIFICE of praise, (thanksgiving). Hebrews 13:5 (Amplified version) says ….BE SATISFIED with your present circumstances (and with what you have); for He (God) Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up, nor leave you without support. (I will not), I will not in ANY DEGREE leave you helpless nor forsake you, nor let you down (relax My hold on you)! ASSUREDLY NOT!  Why not ‘place your hand in the hand of the Man Who stills the waters’ today and trust Him for the answers to come!

Phillipians 4:6 says, “with all prayer and THANKSGIVING make your request known unto Him”…

There are many challenges putting pressure on marriages and family relationships.

I pray for restoration of family relationships that have been fractured or ‘badly bent’ by the prolonged hardships in the bush. Make that phone call friend – don’t let weeks turn into months! May God’s gift of forgiveness flow freely between husbands and wives and parents and children.

To those forced to exit their life work on the land through economic or health reasons, I pray that as you dare to PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD, HE WILL make a way where there seems to be no apparent way. Somehow the answers will come. He WILL lead you and guide you IF you will seek/inquire of Him in the way you should go.

May God richly bless you today.
